From the songwriter
△I wrote Just Because You're You in early March 2012, around the time that Patanjali had not long started playing guitar. He was out of work at the time, which was to become 6 months.
We wanted to capture an atmosphere that was dreamy and relaxing. Doing that live gave us real feel space to interact with one another for the song. It is easy to do this better when the voice and instruments can talk to one another in harmony.

You cast a shadow in my room
Through all the darkness
Your light shines through
Can this really be true
I recognize your face
Now my dreams are reality
Just because you’re you
Because you’re you I know
When you touch my hand
You’re right here with me
I will hold you so
I will hold you close
I will never let you go
Just because you’re you
I’m lost for words to say
You’re the diamond in my mind
You wipe away my tears
And nurture all my fears
I’m only good when with you
Now my life has changed
Just because you’re you
Because you’re you I know
When you touch my hand
You’re right here with me
I will hold you so
I will hold you close
I will never let you go
Just because you’re you
I saw you in the moon.
